Pedodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with the protection, treatment and prevention of children's oral and dental health. Pedodontists are dentists specially trained for babies, children and adolescents. This field covers a variety of services such as monitoring children's dental development, treating dental caries, applying preventive treatments and providing dental health education. Pedodontic treatments include fluoride applications, fissure sealants, deciduous tooth treatments, orthodontic treatments and tooth extractions. Pedodontists help children overcome their fear of dentists and provide the necessary education to maintain oral health.
