Gum Diseases

Gum diseases are disorders caused by infection and inflammation of the gums and surrounding tissues. It is divided into two main categories as gingivitis and periodontitis. Gingivitis is the early stage of gingivitis and is usually characterised by bleeding gums and swelling. Periodontitis is the advanced stage of untreated gingivitis and leads to loss of the supporting bone structure between the gums and teeth. These diseases can develop due to poor oral hygiene, smoking, genetic predisposition and some systemic diseases. Treatment of gum disease includes regular teeth cleaning, deep cleaning (root planing) and, in advanced cases, surgical interventions.

Pink Tooth Aesthetics

Pink tooth aesthetics covers the procedures performed to improve the aesthetic appearance of the gums. This treatment is applied to correct the symmetry of the gums, treat gum recession and improve gum colour. Pink teeth aesthetics makes the teeth look more aesthetic and balanced as part of the smile design process. The aesthetic appearance of the gums is improved with procedures such as gum contouring, gingivectomy and gum grafting. This treatment is an important step in achieving a healthy and beautiful smile.

Periodontal Flap Surgery

Periodontal flap surgery is a surgical method used in the treatment of advanced gum disease. This procedure is performed to lift the gums to remove the infected tissues underneath and to flatten the tooth roots. Periodontal flap surgery reduces the depth of the gum pockets and controls the infection caused by bacteria. During the surgical procedure, the gums are carefully cut, infected tissues are removed and the tooth roots are cleaned. After the procedure, the gums are placed back in place and the healing process begins. This surgical treatment stops the progression of gum disease and prevents tooth loss.

Gum Surgery

Gum surgery includes various surgical procedures used in the treatment of gum diseases and aesthetic gum problems. These procedures include treatment of gum recession, gum grafts, gingivectomy and gum contouring. Gum surgery improves the health of the gums and makes the teeth look more aesthetic. In case of gum recession, gum grafts restore the receding gum tissue and protect the tooth roots. Gingivectomy makes the teeth look longer and more aesthetic by removing excess gum tissue. Gum shaping aims to make the gums look symmetrical and smooth.

Gingivectomy

Gingivectomy is the surgical removal of excess gum tissue. This procedure is performed to reduce the depth of gum pockets and make the teeth look more aesthetic. Gingivectomy is used to treat gum disease and improve gum aesthetics. During the procedure, the gums are numbed with local anaesthetic and excess gum tissue is carefully removed. After gingivectomy, the teeth appear longer and straighter, gum pockets are reduced and oral hygiene becomes easier. This procedure stops the progression of gum disease and prevents tooth loss.
